At first, this dream started with me and a couple of my mates getting high together in my house. I remember that we were smoking this odd powder that looked kinda like coke, but the texture was all wrong, more clumpy like flour or something. I remember we got unbelievably zooted, as my friend Castle went to pass me the sheet of foil. I grabbed it eagerly, taking a massive hit of the stuff. I instantly felt a huge headrush and euphoria, and I felt my body go dizzy and energized. I let out a massive moan of pleasure, before I then punched the wall at full force, causing a massive hole to be punched through it. I then felt/heard something crawling in the hole and freaked out, as I then looked down to see a massive menagerie of Black Widow spiders completely overwhelm me and my friends. I screamed loudly as I passed out onto the floor and was instantly overrun by the spiders. After this, I was suddenly at an unknown college. I remember I was in a bookstore of some kind - almost like a barnes & noble in structure - and I was supposed to buy supplies for the semester. Luckily, I had most of the basic things already taken care of, presumably by my mother, as I saw a note reading “むすめちゃん、愛していますわ。あなたが女性ですわ。” I smiled to myself any the note, before I then pocketed it with an expression of joy still plastered on my face. Then, beneath the note, at the top of my bag, there were a whole lot of cool fountain pens, graphite pens, ink brushers, highlighters, and erasers. I felt like I was covered already, but apparently, I didn’t have any notebooks, so I had to go looking on aa nearby shelf for them. Nothing much of note happened there, except for me accidentally running into the Araneology teacher. He said to me in a genuinely happy voice “I really appreciate you taking the time to sign up for Araneology, hardly anyone does anymore,” as he fussed my hair and then pointed me towards the Araneology textbooks and notebooks. I picked up the Araneology books, and noticed quickly they were printed white on black, and both of the books had a Holographic purple sheen. I thought it gave a really intriguing and imposing vibe, as I admired the artwork of ancient spiders fighting/capturing massive hornets, and cultivating supermassive grey egg sacs for their spiderlings, which were printed in the style of a renaissance art piece throughout the pages of the textbook. My thoughts were stopped by a reminder echoing through the halls, simply shouting “Hurry Up! It’s time for class,” in a distinctly feminine yet also commanding voice. I then freaked out and went to grab the rest of the books that were on my list. I grabbed japanese, aural medicine, and politics. I then tried to look for my final assigned textbook, which was for French class, but I had no luck finding it. I then decided to book it to French class anyway and borrow someone else’s. I quickly ran out of the library with my books in a messenger bag around my shoulder, and then after leasing the door, I had somehow instantly teleported into my French class. I sat at a table with three people, although I could only make out one brunette nerd sitting next to me, the rest of my classmates were incomprehensible blurs. I then heard the teacher start speaking, then took out my notebook to write what she was saying. I remember that I was doing pretty good at it, both in terms of information and aesthetics that I wrote onto the page, until the teacher then cross referenced the notebook that I didn’t have in order for us to write notes from it. I sighed audibly, whispering “oh no,” under my breath in a defeated tone. Sensing my frustration, the brunette finished cleaning her glasses, before she then handed me her textbook, saying “I’ve already beat this class before, I’m just an angel now.” I cocked my head in confusion at the angel remark, before I then thanked her deeply for the textbook, and began writing the French notes. The French notes were kinda odd though, as nothing we were learning had anything to do with speaking our understanding the French language itself, and was entirely focused on how it evolved from the latin language, and how the etymology of French words differs from Spanish words. I remember finding it quite cool, although I did Gert quite exhausted having to draw so many tables and diagrams in my notes, as that took up a heck of a lot of note space. I pushed through the boredom and kept writing, as I didn’t feel like dropping out before I gave things a chance, and also because I really liked the teacher’s charismatic and exuberant energy. I kept on writing within the dream, my handwriting far more elegant and cursive than it could be in the waking world, at least given the same circumstances. I felt more self-confident than I usually did, before I reflected on how odd it was that nobody had clocked me as trans yet, and that everybody seemed to treat me female regardless in this dream. As I was thin king about this, the French classroom started to blur into imperceptibility, and I began to feel like I was floating. I began to feel dizzy, and then I fell backwards as my clothes started falling off. I fell through a dull grey void for a few moments, as my hunger and thirst began to grow to unbearable levels. Strangely, I didn’t feel too scared, just a bit confused if anything though.. I then woke up back into the real world, incredibly hungry and thirsty, and with my eyes/tongue near bone dry from dehydration. I otherwise awoke in a pleasant mood though, and found the dream itself to be pleasant.
This dream contains rich imagery and a variety of themes that can be explored through interpretation. Here's a breakdown of some of the key elements and their potential meanings:
Substance Use and Euphoria: The beginning of your dream involves getting high and experiencing intense euphoria. This suggests a desire to escape reality or to experience heightened states of being. The unusual powder might symbolize something you perceive as enlightening or transformative, yet also potentially dangerous or overwhelming. The act of punching through the wall and then being overwhelmed by spiders can symbolize breaking through boundaries to discover fears or challenges within yourself.
Black Widow Spiders: Spiders often represent creativity, feminine energy, and the web of life. However, being overwhelmed by Black Widow spiders may indicate feelings of being trapped or consumed by your fears and anxieties. They could reflect a fear of your own power or creativity, or maybe associated worries about relationships or dependence.
College Setting: Transitioning to the college and bookstore environment suggests a period of growth, learning, and self-discovery. The supportive note from your mother symbolizes a comforting and nurturing aspect of your identity. It shows positivity and connection to your roots or foundational support, suggesting that you have underlying strength in your pursuit of knowledge and experience.
Araneology (the study of spiders): Enrolling in Araneology could represent a willingness to confront your fears and study the aspects of yourself that you find complex or daunting. The fact that few enroll may reflect feelings of isolation in your journey, but the enthusiastic response from the teacher signifies validation and encouragement from figures of authority or mentorship.
Classes and Textbooks: The various subjects you pursue, including Japanese, aural medicine, and politics, suggest diverse interests and an eagerness to expand your horizons. The detail about failing to find your French textbook might reflect anxieties about preparedness or feeling ill-equipped for certain challenges in life.
Feeling Like an Angel: The brunette student's comment about being an "angel" after completing the class could symbolize hope, guidance, and support from those around you. It also reflects the theme of self-acceptance and how you feel perceived by others, accentuating your internal struggle with identity and how you are seen in different spaces.
Floating and the Void: The transition to floating and experiencing a void can signify a moment of enlightenment or detachment from worldly concerns. It suggests a shift in consciousness where you're exploring deeper aspects of your being. The physical sensations of hunger and thirst upon waking indicate a need for grounding and self-care, symbolizing that while exploration is valuable, it’s essential to attend to your basic needs.
Identity and Gender: The acknowledgment of being perceived differently (as female) may reflect your journey of self-discovery as a trans individual. The dream suggests acceptance in this space, as well as an exploration of gender dynamics and how you wish to integrate your identity.
In summary, this dream embodies themes of exploration, personal growth, the confrontation of fears, and the balancing act of identity. The pleasant mood you woke up with indicates that this exploration, while complex, is ultimately a positive and affirming journey toward self-acceptance and understanding. Embrace this experience as part of your ongoing transformation, and continue seeking the knowledge and support you need along the way.
